Stuart Tank Memorial Association
About
The Borough of Berwick's Stuart Tank Memorial Association was established to locate a Berwick-built Stuart Tank and return it to Berwick as a memorial to the workers who built them and the soldiers, Marines and Allies who rode them into battle. The association's mission is to establish a permanent memorial honoring the workers of the American Car & Foundry Company in Berwick, which produced over 15,000 Stuart tanks during World War II. These tanks played a crucial role in the war effort and were operated by American and Allied troops around the world. In addition to its preservation efforts, the organization offers educational presentations for schools, community groups and organizations. These programs highlight the historical importance of the Stuart Light Tank and the role of American Car & Foundry, helping to keep local history alive and relevant. Admission to the Museum is always FREE.
