CLAY + CODE

Founded by Saline locals Tara and Hardik Joshi, Clay + Code is a hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) learning center that blends the worlds of ceramics and robotics to inspire learners of all ages.

With over 17 years each of industry experience, Tara and Hardik bring a unique balance of artistic creativity and technical expertise to everything they do.

In 2022, Tara launched TJ Pottery, offering clay handbuilding classes and showcasing her fine art independently. Her background includes becoming a trained ceramicist and glass artist, curating art exhibitions, managing galleries, and working with art museums before relocating to Saline, MI. Her passion for the arts and community continues to shape Clay + Code’s hands-on ceramics programs.

Hardik is an accomplished electrical and software engineer with a career that spans leadership roles across the U.S. He currently works as a Software Staff Specialist at Michigan Medicine and teaches robotics on the side with a focus on practical innovation and engineering skills. His passion for logical thinking and problem solving makes learning robotics an environment that will help all aspects of learning.

Together, Tara and Hardik created Clay + Code to foster logical thinking and artistic living for learners ages 5 to 105 right here in Michigan!
