Built so local businesses can be found again.
TownVue is a community discovery platform connecting residents with the local businesses, events, and experiences in their town. No ads, no algorithmic ranking, no pay-to-rank. Equal visibility for every listed business.
Who's behind TownVue
TownVue is owned and operated by TownVue, LLC, a small Ohio company. Two founders, a small data team, and a long-running frustration with how local businesses get buried under ads on the platforms that promised to help them get found.
Tad runs the product and engineering side of TownVue. Background in software, focus on building a discovery platform that small business owners can actually trust to be on their side.
LinkedIn profileLetitia co-founded TownVue with the same conviction: that local communities deserve a platform that connects them to local businesses without an ad auction in the middle.
LinkedIn profileA team of five also helps seed each new state with verified business, event, and experience data so the platform is useful from day one.
Why TownVue exists
The platforms most people rely on to find local businesses, search engines, social feeds, review sites, all reward the same thing: paying more. Small businesses that can't outspend chains and franchises end up buried, and customers end up missing the places that would have served them best. TownVue is built on a different premise. Every listed business gets equal visibility through fair rotation. Customers find businesses because they match the search, not because someone bid higher.
No ads inside listings
Competitors can't pay to appear above your listing. What you publish is what visitors see.
Fair rotation
Listings rotate every page load so every business gets equal time near the top.
Local first
Discovery is anchored to a city or community. Customers find what's near them, not what's national.
Owner-controlled
Owners edit, add photos, post events, and respond to questions directly. No middleman approval.
How we work
TownVue starts each state with verified, publicly-sourced listings so the platform is useful for residents from day one. Owners then claim their listing to take control of the information and add details only they would know: hours, photos, menu link, FAQs, events, and experiences. AI-assisted features (FAQ suggestions, town intros) are grounded in each listing's own data and run through brand-voice and safety filters before publishing. Customer questions go through an owner-answered Q&A flow with admin moderation as a safety net.
