CORECHEM Inc.

Established in 1981, CORECHEM Inc. is a third-generation, family-owned chemical distribution and manufacturing company headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The company was originally founded by Mr. Edwin Sherrod, an analytical chemist who worked in Oak Ridge at the onset of the nuclear age. Mr. Sherrod passed away in 2016 at the age of 90. His passion for the business remained throughout his entire life, as he continued to attend sales meetings from his wheelchair up until just weeks before his passing. His son, Mr. Jon Sherrod, is our current President; and his grandson, Wesley Sherrod, is the CEO.
