About
Molly Shapiro is a passionate and experienced speech-language pathologist who has experience with children ages 1-21 in various settings including homes, daycares, clinics and schools. She has treated children with a range of diagnoses including autism, Down Syndrome, dyslexia, developmental delay and childhood apraxia of speech.
During her career, Molly has been a part of several preschool language programs focusing on early intervention. She is passionate about language-based reading disorders and is Lindamood-Bell and Orton-Gillingham trained. She has experience with Seeing Stars, Visualizing and Verbalizing, LiPS, the Orton-Gillingham Approach and Brain Friendly Reading within clinical and home settings.
Molly strives to have her clients leave the sessions feeling proud of their accomplishments and gaining confidence in their abilities. She received her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Michigan University after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Michigan State University.
After spending time practicing in Minneapolis and Atlanta, Molly returned home to Michigan with her husband Eric where they are raising their twin boys, Jack and Henry, and their daughter Emma. She loves reading, spending time with family and friends, and Michigan State sports.
