Our goal is to strengthen the long‑term health of the region and demonstrate how a farmer's market can support community wellness in many ways. Our vision includes expanding access to healthy, locally grown foods; supporting farmers who use sustainable practices; creating partnerships for wellness programs like screenings and prevention education; offering a welcoming space for connection among Medical Center employees, students, and local residents; and honoring the agricultural heritage of the land surrounding the Medical Center and College of Medicine. Today, the market operates every Thursday on farmland once owned by Milton S. Hershey, offering a wide variety of locally produced foods and specialty items, most sourced within 25 miles. Visitors can also enjoy weekly wellness activities, including cooking classes, health screenings, educational programs, and local musical performances—all designed to celebrate and support our local agriculture heritage and community health.
