Flanagan Injury Law Group, LLC

Born in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago’s South Side, L. Michael Flanagan is deeply committed to helping individuals and families who are suffering due to the negligent actions of another person.

Attorney Flanagan attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law where he began his extensive studies of personal injury law. While there, he was involved in the National Black Law Students Association and the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. He also spent significant time in China as part of the law school’s study abroad program.

Beginning his law career clerking for the Honorable Matthew Kennelly in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Michael assisted the court with numerous jury trials. Simultaneously, he was also awarded a prestigious fellowship as a law clerk in the Cook County Bureau of Finance drafting contracts and advancing legislation. As a law clerk, attorney Flanagan acquired extensive experience in every step of the personal injury litigation process, including drafting motions and second-chairing personal injury arbitrations and trials.

Prior to founding Flanagan Injury Law Group, LLC, Michael worked as an associate at two of Chicago’s top personal injury law firms where he has recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars on behalf of clients who were victims of personal injury or wrongful death. His energy and dedication to his clients has earned him a place on Illinois’ personal injury Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. This is the second year in a row he has earned this acknowledgement that is given to less than 2.5% of the state’s newest personal injury attorneys.

In 2023 Michael was appointed to the Illinois Board of Admissions to the Bar, Character and Fitness Committee.
