Franciscan Shelter House, Inc.

In the tradition of St. Francis, which recognizes we are all brothers and sisters, we are dedicated to providing for the nourishment of God's family. We are an independent, Catholic, 501(c)(3) organization that provides a well-balanced meal to approximately 400 men, women and children every weekday and 3 Saturdays a month, no questions asked. The Franciscan Kitchen was founded in 1980 by Friar Jim Fields. Today the work of feeding the hungry continues through the dedication and hard work of a small staff and more than 200 regular volunteers. The Kitchen operates solely on donations.
