GVT's 2026 season presents The Greenbrier Ghost, a haunting Appalachian musical based on the true West Virginia ghost murder case.
Based on the true story that led to the only U.S. murder conviction based on ghost testimony, The Greenbrier Ghost is a haunting Appalachian musical rooted in West Virginia legend. When newlywed Zona Heaster dies under suspicious circumstances, her mother claims Zona's ghost has revealed the truth: she was murdered. Combining folklore, courtroom drama, and regional music, this original work celebrates a mother's determination and the enduring power of justice from beyond the grave.
2026 Season productions include: The Greenbrier Ghost (July 9–25), Tuesdays with Morrie (August 28–September 12), and The Mousetrap (November 29–December 13). GVT also presents The Met: Live in HD, the Al Jeter Series, Summer Drama Camp, Student Matinees, and group bookings.
