Harrison Lake Country Club
About
Harrison Lake Members teed off for the first time in 1947. The original golf course, designed by Bob Simmons and Gary Kern, was enjoyed by many HLCC members until 2020. The course record for the original golf course was held by Indiana University Graduate and former PGA professional Jeff Overton.
In 2019, It was decided that the golf course and practice areas needed a complete renovation. Tim Liddy, Pete Dye's key assistant for 29 years, was selected to work with HLCC to design the new course and practice facilites. Much of the original course layout, beautifully nestled in the rolling hills of south central Indiana near Brown County just west of Columbus, was kept intact, but the golf course now looks and plays much differently. The club and the golf course remain an integral part of the surrounding Harrison Lake neighborhood community.
In the spring of 2020 HLCC completely renovated the short-game practice area. In the summer and fall of 2020, the driving range was relocated to it's current location and four holes #14, 15,16,and 17 were renovated/added. The new short-game practice area and the driving range opened in 2021. And, in late May of 2021 construction on the remaining 14 holes and the putting green began. This final phase was completed in the fall of 2021 and reopened in August 2022.
We also offer a fantastic indoor golf studio for our members to enjoy.
