About
Heavenly Gardens
In 1996 they purchased five acres in Galloway, Ohio. The property was named Heavenly Gardens. Since 1996 things have grown and grown. There are now two greenhouses. In 2008 a new barn was added for storage and fair animals for the boys. A third greenhouse is in the early building stages.
Jamie’s first seedlings numbered about 520. That later increased to 1,000 then 6,000. Now they are numbered at about 25,000 tetraploids as well as 15,000 diploids. Jamie introduced the first of his daylilies in 2000. Jamie has introduced over *250 daylilies to date.
The children Michelle, Ryan and Corey have been a big part of planting, weeding and digging away year after year. Diana and Jamie now have a granddaughter Taylor and grandson Damien. Taylor is beginning to help out and even Mac wants to work. Ryan and Corey both have the taste of their own line of daylilies and Dianna is working with the doubles.
Jamie and Dianna moved their laboratory business in 2014. It is now on their property. They believe it is the best decision they could have made since they are now able to work on both businesses as any given day without need to commute back and forth.
Jamie is now in high demand for speaking engagements all over the country and in Canada. His expertise in the hybridizing of daylilies is well known through respected daylily organizations.
