Howard Steamboat Museum

Take a step back into the historic Steamboat Era with a tour of the Howard Steamboat Museum.” The museum is housed in a 22‑room mansion built in 1894 that was home to the renowned Howard steamboat building family, featuring original furnishings, brass gasoliers, stained glass windows, intricate wood carvings, and a grand staircase replicated from a famous steamboat.

Exhibits include steamboat models, photographs, paintings, tools, artifacts, and half‑hull models from the Great Steamboat Era and the Howard Shipyards.
