Michaela's Quality Bake Shop

Michaela's may be best known for baking a cake made famous over 80 years ago by Thalhimers Bakery, home of the original Chocolate 6-Layer Cake. Rich chocolate fudge frosting between six layers of moist and buttery yellow cake, iced smooth and topped with a classic caramelized cherry and boxed up just for you. Even though Thalhimers is long gone, that famous cake goes on as the start of our line of cakes and baked goods here at Michaela's.

Our founder started his baking career at Thalhimers as a teenager. Throughout the years he has striven to preserve the original taste and quality of the Thalhimers Tradition, as well as create and refine recipes for Southern baked goods like our popular strawberry shortcakes, lemon chess pies, and rich buttery pound cakes.

With a combined 75 years of cake decorating experience, our cake decorators can create a specialty cake to fit any occasion! Our decorators have the skills, knowledge, and experience to work with you to create a special memory to fit your vision and budget.
