About
Huntington Islamic Center serves as a vibrant hub for faith, learning, and community in the heart of Huntington, West Virginia. Nestled between Marshall University and the city’s two major hospitals, our masjid sits at the crossroads of education, healthcare, and service, a reflection of the diverse and compassionate people who call it home.
Our community brings together a remarkable mix of backgrounds including local Appalachians, naturalized Americans, professionals, and students from across the world. Many of our members serve in healthcare and higher education, while others contribute through business, technology, and public service, all united by a shared commitment to the wellbeing of our city and state.
As we grow, we are building not only for today but for generations to come. Our vision includes a larger community center to accommodate our expanding programs and activities, and a future school dedicated to providing high quality education rooted in strong values and mutual respect.
Although Muslims remain a small minority in West Virginia, we make up a significant part of its professional and academic landscape. Our masjid is a welcoming home for students, trainees, and families who come to Huntington to learn, work, and grow. Above all, we take pride in being a community where everyone who walks through our doors finds warmth, belonging, and purpose.
