Nia Imani Family has been a home for young mothers and their children in Milwaukee for over 30 years. Founded by Dr. Belinda Pittman, we provide safe, long-term housing and holistic support so families can move from crisis to stability—and from survival to independence. Pathways to Independence include: The Sacred Home — Long-term housing providing safety, stability, and trauma-informed care for young mothers and their children; The Path of Becoming — Life planning, job training, and education support that build independence and long-term stability; and The Mother & Child — Parenting, literacy, and family support programs that strengthen generational stability.
