That’s why we’ve dedicated ourselves to crafting texture-driven flavors that whisper to the ice cream freak hiding in all of us – flavors that taste and feel exactly how they’re described, flavors that make you involuntary utter oh shiiiiit after the first bite.

We believe ice cream should be really tasty without leaning on artificial ingredients. Ice cream should have body and bite. It should be ultra-creamy, a little dense, but never too rich.

Ice cream should embrace the changing seasons and highlight local ingredients as much as possible. But most importantly, ice cream should never be boring.

In 2017, Spotty Dog was born from delivering free ice cream samples to our Church Hill neighbors. Slowly but surely, word spread. By Spring 2018, Spotty Dog was selling scoops at pop ups and markets throughout Richmond. After five years of slingin’ our stuff around town, we opened our first parlor in Church Hill/Union Hill in October 2022.
