About
Emilie Mudd-Guy is an Area VIII based professional equestrian having ridden since the age of 5. Emilie specializes in Three-Day Eventing but also competes in Rated Dressage and Jumper shows. Emilie began riding under the guidance of eventing instructor Heidi Hewlett before transitioning to trainer Regis Webb. Under Regis’s instruction Emilie has achieved success through the Intermediate level in eventing. Following graduation from high school, Emilie moved to Hoffman, North Carolina to begin her year as a working student for Will Faudree before an accident sidelined her for the end of the 2017 season. After a gap year, Emilie moved to Lexington to attend college at the University of Kentucky and graduated with a degree in Digital Media and Design.
Following college, Emilie spent the year as a groom and rider for Liz Halliday. This year allowed for growth in personal, grooming, and riding skill. In August 2023, Emilie and her husband John purchased their own 43 acre farm in Paris, KY which they call Sterling Pines Equestrian.
Emilie hopes to one day compete at the top level of the sport both in the United States and Europe and ride for the United States National Team in a Nations Cup, Pan American Games, World Equestrian Games, and Olympic Games.
