26th Street Sugar Shack has been a Chicagoland summertime favorite since opening in May of 2006. We are a family owned and operated small business who thrive on seeing our customers’ smiling faces and the strong bond our staff has created throughout the years.

Owner, Nikki Panatera, has often been quoted in saying, “although managing a staff of 25, mostly teenagers, can be extremely challenging and drives me crazy at times I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world! Paving the way for these kids entering the work world and seeing first hand how their nervousness and hesitation change into confidence and pride is by far the best part of my job”.

We take pride in offering fresh, mouth watering desserts and family friendly service. We offer 12 flavors of hand scooped ice cream and the best soft serve in Bridgeport with 30 different toppings and mix ins! We encourage each customer to be original and creative with their choices.
