The Cheerful Moon

When someone asks me what I do for a living I have a little chuckle and ask them, "Which day of the week?!" I wear many hats, my life is busy, and that is by my design. I hold a master's degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for Epidemiology. I work as a Clinical Data Analyst at The Lindner Research Center at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Through the journey of life and birthing my two wonderful children I then added the title of Certified Labor Doula (CLD) by training through Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA). That was the birth of The Cheerful Moon, LLC. I used Hypnobabies childbirth hypnosis for my two births and at the time there were no Hypnobabies instructors in the area. So I completed Hypnobabies instructor training, became a Hypnobabies Certified Hypnosis Instructor (HCHI), and began to share the process with the birthing community so that more parents would have access to the most joyful birthing possible for them. In true Cheryl Lynn fashion, I could not rest there. I saw a need and was called to fill it. At 42 years of age, with the support from my adoring husband, I decided to head back to school for medical massage therapy and 11 months later became a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). I am beyond blessed to have found a home for my practice at Clinique en Beauté in downtown Madeira where I work with the most AMAZING WOMEN. While I originally sought the massage therapy licensure so that I could work primarily on prenatal and postpartum clients, I fell in love with fascia and I'm completely in awe of it. Ask me about fascia and I go nuts. I'm currently a Level-1 certified Graston Technique provider which is a type of Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) and have completed level 1 of The John F. Barnes' Myofascial Release Approach. I am a member of the Greater Cincinnati JFB MFR Study Group and the Fascia Research Society.
