Help, Home, & Hope for Teens. The Nehemiah Project has, for more than half a century, housed, cared for, and provided programs for teenage boys in out-of-home placement. We promote the physical and emotional well-being of youth through psychological, educational, leadership, and transitional living services in a residential community. Programs include: Forgiveness Initiative, Literacy Program, Financial Literacy, Recreation & Enrichment, Pre-employment Training, Independent Living, Staff & Resident Support, and Internships. Our youth attend Milwaukee Public Schools and/or work within the community. They attend group and one-on-one sessions regularly in content areas such as Independent Living, Literacy, Financial Literacy, Forgiveness for Teens, Citizenship, and Wellness.
