About The Neighborhood Network Alliance

Neighborhood Network Alliance contributes to a thriving, equitable, and connected Chicago by organizing residents, strengthening neighborhood relationships, and addressing the root causes of instability in South Shore. Our work brings community members together block by block to build trust, increase engagement, and create networks of support that improve safety, economic opportunity, and overall well-being.

Through neighborhood walks, resident-led events such as Corner Karaoke, and ongoing engagement, we create spaces where neighbors connect, share concerns, and take collective action. This work has led to community-driven efforts that improve access to resources, influence neighborhood investment, and strengthen local leadership.

In addition to organizing, we support residents in addressing housing stability challenges and preserving resident-owned buildings. We also provide education on reducing household costs, including helping residents understand and access solar energy options to lower utility expenses. By connecting residents to technical assistance, legal resources, and financial education, we help stabilize housing and strengthen economic resilience.

Our approach is rooted in community voice and lived experience. Residents shape our priorities and lead solutions, ensuring that our work reflects the needs and strengths of the community. By strengthening relationships, expanding access to resources, and supporting resident leadership, Neighborhood Network Alliance advances equity and creates pathways for residents to thrive.
