The Quarry Event Center: Empowering South Shore

The Quarry Event Center, a cornerstone of Chicago's South Shore, is owned by Real Community Investment Group, the social enterprise arm of Real Men Charities Inc. Real Community Investment Group took ownership in July 2018.

The Quarry aspires to be the heart of South Shore, fostering a sense of community pride and offering a safe, powerful, and resource-rich space for residents. It envisions itself as a hub that connects people and empowers them to experience the best of what South Shore has to offer.

Our Goals:

Entrepreneurial Ecosystem: Attract and support local culinary, health, and artistic entrepreneurs by providing affordable and flexible tools and events to grow their businesses, connect with resources, and network with potential clients.

Community Center: Offer a central location for residents to host celebrations, programs, meetings, and events, eliminating the need to travel long distances.

Cultural Destination: Become a sought-after destination for weekly, high-quality, and culturally rich entertainment, food, and art experiences.

Social Responsibility: Focus on programs that nurture the community's economic, social, and cultural revitalization. The Quarry prioritizes hiring, training, and encouraging local residents, especially young people, to become employees, volunteers, and mentors.

Revitalization Beacon: Serve as a positive influence on 75th Street, the South Side as a whole, and surrounding areas by promoting economic development and fostering a sense of community.

In March 2024, Momentum AF assumed management of The Quarry, bringing fresh ideas and expertise to this vibrant community space. The core mission and vision remain the same, with a renewed focus on achieving these goals.
