The Spring Gardens

The Spring Gardens is an urban community garden in Spring Garden, Philadelphia, built by neighbors in 1995. It helps 180+ families grow food and flowers for themselves and for donation through City Harvest. The garden serves as an outdoor classroom hosting cooking workshops, gardening classes, school education tours, farm bike tours, and hands-on learning for student interns, visitors, and volunteer groups. Open to the public during select hours (May–October, Saturdays 9am–12pm) and during public events. Garden membership extended to residents within the garden boundaries.
