United Mechanical, Inc. is a family business serving the mechanical needs of Wisconsin and Northern Illinois since 1964. The business began as Wiertz and Hughes Heating in 1926. It was acquired by Frank Colwell in 1964, and the name was changed to United Heating Company. In 1966, the company was incorporated, and in 1983, we became United Mechanical, Inc. as we expanded to offer plumbing in addition to heating, air conditioning, and piping. Our trades now include sheet metal and fire protection services, as well.
