Historic Roscoe Village

Built around 1838 by Arnold Medbery, this building was used not only as a warehouse for canal cargo but also as a general merchandise store. For a short time, it also served as the Roscoe Post Office. The handsome building is a blend of both Greek Revival and Federal style architecture. It rests on a foundation of solid sandstone blocks from a nearby quarry. Plain stone lentils are found above each of the buildings 26 main windows. The facade is highlighted with a Palladian window, arched with an Adam style fanlight and flanked on each side with a split fanlight.

An interesting feature of the old warehouse is that the front and back walls are almost identical. In 1969 the building was chosen as the second step in the Roscoe Village Restoration. Edward Montgomery, Jay Shaw, and Seward Schooler reclaimed the warehouse for use as the village's first fine dining facility.

Today it is The Warehouse Restaurants. The historic building now houses 3 levels of dining and entertainment as well as our garden court patio. The main floor is home to The Warehouse Restaurants and offers an extensive menu for your dining pleasure. You will find spacious banquet facilities on the upper level, perfect for special occasions. Downstairs is warmly known as P.R. Nye's Lock 27 Tavern and is a great place to grab a drink, enjoy a meal and listen to great live music. During the warm months, you can relax on our garden court patio, outside bar and live music stage.

As we look back at the storied history of our old warehouse building, we look toward to providing top notch service and great food during your visit. Welcome to The Warehouse Restaurants.

The mission of The Warehouse Restaurants staff is to serve high-quality food in a customer friendly and courteous environment to, EVERY guest, EVERY time.
