Visit the Fort on the Fourth of July 2026, this day of days, America’s birthday, America’s 250th. Help us celebrate the 250th and the rededication of Historic Fort Wayne. Years of planning, fundraising, and the work of dedicated volunteers have culminated in the reopening of the "new" Old Fort. Celebrity guests, a public reading of the Declaration of Independence, infantry and artillery demonstrations punctuate a day of celebration. Visit with soldiers, civilians, and period artisans. Enjoy children’s activities. Find a tasty treat at the Bake Sale and check out the latest Old Fort merchandise!
Festivities continue into the evening with the annual fireworks display in downtown Fort Wayne.
