Michigan Playwrights Festival

Theatre NOVA is dedicated to championing new plays and new playwrights. That’s why we created the Michigan Playwrights Festival: to further this mission and support local writers as they develop their craft. Launched to uplift Michigan writers and cultivate new full-length works, the festival features professionally acted and directed staged readings. These readings spark conversations and invite audiences into the creative process, offering a unique opportunity for theatre professionals and community members to come together and shape new work.
