TownVue wasn't built in a boardroom. We kept watching the same thing happen in communities like yours: great local businesses, run by real people who care deeply about what they do, going undiscovered, simply because the platforms people used to find them were built to favor whoever spent the most on ads.
On the other side, the people who genuinely wanted to support local had no simple way to do it. They'd search, get buried in sponsored results, and give up. Two sides of the same problem, and nobody was solving it. So we did, the way it always should have worked: simply, quickly, local first.
