At Chicho’s Pizza, it all started with a big dream and a simple idea: make great pizza using nothing but the freshest ingredients. In 1968, two Virginia Beach lifeguards turned that vision into reality, opening the first Chicho’s Pizza on the corner of 21st Street and Atlantic Avenue. From the moment the oven was fired up, locals and visitors alike fell in love with the mouthwatering aroma, sizzling fresh toppings, and the sight of pizzas being baked right before their eyes.
