Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center

The Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center became Philadelphia Water Department's environmental education center in 2003, welcoming more than 575,000 visitors to date. The center integrates history, art, science and more to inspire stewardship of the city's resources. Programs include public tours, school field trips, family programming, summer programs, internships, STEAM education, and a Freshwater Mussel Hatchery. Drop-in hands-on activities offered every Saturday 10am–4:30pm. Facility available for event rental. A National Historic Landmark and a landmark of Philadelphia's early 19th-century water infrastructure.
