An innovative all-volunteer nonprofit corp. serving the poor and homeless of the greater Akron area through a Family Nutritional Center (soup kitchen) and family housing apartments (transitional housing program). Serves about 600 meals per week with 300+ volunteers. Hosts the annual "Home Run for the Homeless" Thanksgiving Day race, now in its 34th+ year, with proceeds directly supporting the nutrition center and transitional housing.
