Jones, Jr. Jack is a fourth generation horseman whose maternal great grandfather was John Smith Barbee, who in 1902 began breeding and raising thoroughbred horses at his Caveland Farm in Clark County, Kentucky, and later at his Glen Helen Stud in Lexington, Kentucky.
