Founded in 1947 through the vision and hard work of Oak Ridge's early scientists, engineers, and community leaders, Oak Ridge Country Club began as a volunteer-built golf course on land provided by the Atomic Energy Commission. What started with hand tools, borrowed equipment, and a shared passion for creating a place to gather has grown into one of Tennessee's most treasured private clubs.
