Square Roots is a Minneapolis restaurant serving Afro Creole Southern cuisine while creating “paid hospitality training and career opportunities for young adults.” Opened by restaurateur Jared Brewington in the Coliseum building on East Lake Street, it’s a 501(c)(3) nonprofit where restaurant sales cover operations and donations fund its residency program and a Food Access Fund that keeps menu prices affordable.
