 In September of 1862, Anton Dreps and his wife Josephine purchased the 80-acre farm that now houses The Blind Horse. The property included a small log cabin, which Anton later incorporated into a brick farmhouse in 1881, laying the foundation for a place that has continued to evolve for generations. ​ For more than a century, the Dreps family farmed this land.
