Cantus: The Road Home

The event page describes a concert program from Cantus commemorating the United States’ Semiquincentennial, exploring what it means to celebrate a national identity made up of cultures from around the globe. It describes the U.S. as “a nation of immigrants,” alongside its Indigenous peoples, and honors that diversity with music by composers who carry their own immigrant stories, including Saunder Choi, Chen Yi, Gloria Estefan, and Gaby Moreno.
